ANOTHER MILESTONE BY ISRO

Indian defense establishment has been seeking since long a satellite capable of watching our border and transborder activities of infiltrants through clouds and during darkness after sunset. ISRO made it possible when the 300kg RISAT-2 was shot into space by ISRO workhorse PSLV-C12 rocket on 20th of the month at 6.45am. India thus became the fifth country of the world to have such a satellite. It is an asset to the country as it will work in a microwave band that will enable it to see the object in an invisible media like clouds, fogs and darkness of night.
Weighing 300kg, the spy satellite, as described by media has been developed in collaboration with Israeli Aerospace Industries’ space division. It will provide all weather, 24 hours surveillance. It can produce clear images in all conditions. It will help security agencies monitor the country’s International border round the clock.
We are proud of our scientists!
CONGRATULATIONS ISRO!!

  1. War in future will be fought not among men but among technologies. A technology which could launch a missile quickly and accurately will make the difference hence a technology advancement and enhancement like this one becomes all the more important for the defence and security of our country. It goes without saying that technology is the harbinger of progress and in this case this satellite will help us in predicting the whims of our climate and getting our agro professionals ready for it. This feat also imbues me with a lot of trust and confidence in ISRO and the scientists working hard to secure our borders and help the farmers of our country.
